MCCruise

Well, definite disadvantage of the below position on my 2004 Honda ST1300 - at max left the controller gouged a dent in the fuel tank.

The recommended position for the Rocket is above the left handlebar, and that works well for me.

It really is a wonderful addition to our big bikes.

Thanks Paul...you and the lovely wife coming down to stay for a few days and get out of the cold? I figure if we have nothing better to do we could install a McCruise!

With the lower position your are restricted on handlebar placement. I can take a pic and post it tomorrow.

My controls just clear the fuel tank and while the bar position is just fine, if I wanted to drop the bars at all I'd have to remove my Garmin mount and set the controls to the upper position. When I think of it though, when I set my cruise control, I just drop my thumb down to the panel. I think if it was in the upper position I'd have to raise my hand up off of the grip to push the buttons. At a 150 MPH this might be a problem.

This is probably why some cruise controls that are not integral, such as on the Victories, are in the lower position. The Victory cruise controls are under the right had grip as I recall.

I may take this one down and reedit. I find scene two plays twice, doh! I wil reduce the video quality so it doesn't take 24 hours to render and upload.
 
Oh, I wouldn't reduce the quality.

Maybe mail me a CD or DVD and let me upload it. This is worth it.
