Had a lot of rain here and I got bored and built some rear lowering brackets for the Rocket. Installed a couple of 13 in Progressive 416 shocks and ended up a couple of inches shorter after all was said and done. I'm gonna have to adjust the kick stand now because she almost tips the other way on it now. Pics to follow.

Hope these show up

Thanks Skip. It's nice being able to put both feet down with the knees bent. I'm considering lowering the front, but kinda like kicking back like this for now. I still have to remove the brackets and clean them up and maybe powder coat them.

this may be a dumb question ? why not just get shorter shocks ? does changing the mounting angle affect how the shocks work ?

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask, bro! I wanted to go to air shocks, but couldn't find any to suit me that were shorter. I believe they make this same shock in a 12.5, but couldn't find one to fit my bike. Now saying they aren't out there, I just couldn't find them (fairly inexpensive). My friend had a lowering kit for his Harley but it hit his hard bags so he gave them to me. Needless to say, I heavily modified them. I haven't had any trouble so far with the angle. It seems a bit stiffer, but these are new shocks and I'm easing down on the air bit by bit to find the best setting. I'll ride to OK City tomorrow and the Wichita Mountains and see how it works out.

From DFW to Lawton, OK then to OK City then back to DFW. Bike handled like a champ, running 20 PSI in the shocks. Rides good and I can easily flat foot with knees bent while sitting at the lights. LOVE it.
