The cables are put on by the dealer so they can charge them. I was in my dealer and all the bikes were on tenders. They said they do it only once every two weeks for 24 hours. You're good.

Oh, and get the battery tender jr. to attach to your bike when not being ridden for extended periods of time. Helps keep your battery healthy.
