Longhaul Seat

I'm an even skinnier runt at 76kg, perhaps I need more lard on me arse.

Or maybe a good woman to massage it

Seriously.. I have originals.. bloody crap
I have Gel seats OK for a while
Classic tourer w/ both b/Rests is best of 3

There are some really good customs shop n the states I have one somewhere.. you send your seats and they use the Pans + a photo of yourself and cargo sitting on the bike for them to see how to get it right ,, drawback... expensive
Russell Day Long Saddles. apparently very comfy.

The problem we have buying from outside the EU is the bloody tax our Customs puts on imports, plus the freight and exchange rate.

UK import tax 6% - UK handling charge 2.5% - UK VAT 20% = total 30.38%. That lot goes on everything including freight.

Where there is will there is a way...

There's always one.

Yea I know you have my sympathy mate, I left 32 yrs ago.
All I could suggest is the AirHawk, there are many that will recommend it.. have you checked it out ?

when I get back I'm sending them my seat

I will do, not sure if Airhawk are sold over here but might be able to find something similar.

AirHawk at local bike shop here, 160 quid.

Just fitted a backrest to see if that helps. I seem to be sitting on spine, get painful after 70 or 80 miles.

Been wondering if linking a couple of push bike inner tubes together in one of those net bags, get the valves positioned out of the way, and see if an air cushion would work before forking out 160 quid.

I have never liked the look of the Airhawk seats so I bought the triumph gel seats - waste of money, got top quality sheep skin covers made - improvement, bought another gel pad (gel kayak seat pad- waste of money, after another sore arse ride to Phillip Island 800kms I saw a Airhawk stand at the expo tent and happen to hear the guy give a garantee that if it did not cure his sore arse problem he would happily refund including postage, so I asked if he would give me the same garantee he said yes so I tried it. Yes I still think they are ugly and expensive but I tell you now he ain't getting them back they do work. And to be honest I don't think your inner tube I idea will work, the company that makes them is mainly a aged and nursing care company that make matteress using the same technoligy the Airhawk is a sideline and yes they are expensive but worth it
