Recieved the bike lift today. I ordered it from the amazon uk web site. They do 2 sizes the regular one at £57. it lifts 680 kg. and is 14 inches between the arms. I got the heavy duty one at £77. It also lifts 680 kg. but has 17 inches between the arms. The only problem with the heavy duty one is i have to take the belly pan of the bike to lift it. I also have to run the wheels on to some wood to get the lift under the bike as the lift is about half an inch to high.should halve gone for the smaller lift. Once up in the air it is very stable and solid so worth the exra bit hassle with the wood. It is well built and agood solid lift well worth a look.

I think you would still need your piece of wood with the lighter lift also. Are you using the lifting plates that some of us use they fit in the holes in the frame lugs that are there for a centre stand.

Have not got a set of liffting lugs yet but will get some soon. Saw a set someone else had but they are to big for my bike. Seems like they change the hole sizes on the bikes for some reason.
