hey Team,

I know this has been talked about quite abit but couldn’t find a definite answer.

I’m replacing my ramair filter with 2780’s is it necessary to put an extra filter over the air sensor or can I get away with zip tying it in the middle of first and second filter?

Much appreciated in advance

To me the air cleaner seems over kill. I am actually working on a different solution.
The bulb is sensitive and perhaps somewhat fragile, it should be located where it can sense the real air temperature going into the engine and protected from mechanical damage.

I’m onboard with everything you said

Me reckons you are going the wrong way.
I went from 2780s to RamAir and got a slight performance improvement.
Plus there is a warm fuzzy home for that sensor in the RamAir . . .
Just sayin' . . .

Loved the ramair but my lovely sweet dog pulled my cover off my bike and chewed the foam filter
I’m not chasing HP and I prefer the k&n look better to be honest

Whatever floats yer boat, Amigo.
Both fit under the bearclaw, so I see not what diff the looks make . . .
