Just got dynoed, 130 hp does not impress me

Yea, I'm waiting and desevingly so.lol Pretty drastic reduction in mileage. How about 31 MPG. If I got 20MPG, I'ld still love the bike. Just put the RU3780's back on and redyno'd her at 156RWHP and 160.5 torque. A tad better than the RU1770's.
Can't figure why each gear AF is different. Maybe eat my words and try the PCV to see if it can work with the tb and make some corrections.
Let my tuner take a ride this weekend and got to hear it for the first time. The Jardines are the best sounding pipes I've heard on one of these bikes. Sounds awesome.
BTW, this bike in it's present state is such a trip to ride. The ower is amazing everytime I get on it. Night and day from the stock configuration.
I wish I could launch this beast. Love to see what it would do in the 1/4 mile. At wot, it just wants to run out from under you. A real thrill.

Wonder what there rules are as to riding gear. I don't have leathers. Is that mandatory?

Frank,

I think Baytown rules state that you have to have full leathers or full gear??
Sealy is full gear, but you can wear jeans. You may want to check with both??
I have been trying to get out to Sealy for their Midnight 1320 racing that they do every few months on a saturday. Will let you know when the next one is.

Not sure how they will be for test and tune nights for street vehicles.

My experience at other NHRA tracks have been if you trap 125+, you need full leathers. The stock R3R bike will go near 12.0 and trap at 110-115 depending so you would be north of that trap speed. In addition a cut-off switch attached to a lanyard that kills the bike if you go down is usually required. Most fuel injected bikes have a tip-over kill switch but they usually still want the lanyard switch.

Again, for test and tune nights not sure what is enforced but you can find out with a phone call.

I have been to non-NHRA 1/4 mile tracks that don't have leather or kill-switch rules.

Obviously if you were doing this all the time you would want leathers, etc. but for a few thrill ride passes...

The rule as quoted to me in an email by the owner of Cecil County Dragway, is that any one(bike) that goes over 120mph requires full leathers and a special license. They all required a cut off switch, but I cheated and just tied a lanyard to the wiring and my jacket for inspection. They don't look very close there unless you are on some crazy 9 second bike. The license is some kind of class and proven ability over 120 while someone watches. The R3 is right at that mark with the mods I have (regular stuff). They kinda turned their heads since I was riding a cruiser with windshield and saddlebags, maybe they thought it was a fluke.

Hi just read your post, i have a 2006 with staintune pipes. it was 132 hp standard, the TTS supercharger with Waynes programs kicked it to 265 hp & 225 fts/lbs torque

Thant box under the roadster is just a maze with a lot of restriction. The cats are in the stock silencers, not the crossover. I cut mine open whjen I installed my Jardines. What a crappy design. If you go wdith the tors, yuou lose the cats.
Better option is the staintune freeflowing system with their crossover pipe. Larger and way less restrictive. You're bike will need a batter tune when installed.
