I like the new bikes quite a bit. You guys better get out and buy them. I’ve seen the average age of this group and we ain’t got enough years to wait for the perfect Rocket.

To be fair steady is relative hahaha given the average speed on uk motorways is 80mph your there or above when mile munching, when I took her around wales in the summer I saw better mpg but not by a huge amount.
 
On a leisurely 110 mile ride to South Lake Tahoe last week on SR 50 I averaged 44 mpg. On the route home I rode up the west side of Lake Tahoe and up towards Truckee on a more 'spirited' pace and averaged 32 mpg. Around town when I'm in an ornery mood I'm lucky if I get 28 mpg. It's all in the wrist.
