Is it me or what- lack of confidence in Metzlers

Well, I'll be picking my bike up in an hour, and it will have my new Cobras on, so clearly the Cobra tires are the only sensible choice for anyone with an R3T, and all other choices are now inferior.

Hey that's a bit self-righteous don't you think Croft ... from one of the Metro-Metzler-Sexuals

Haha well I wasn't entirely serious, though after the ride home with the Cobras I have to say the difference was stupendous. Huuuge upgrade.

I rode 8,870 miles on my stock Mets before changing them out. I now have 1500 miles on my new Exedra Max skins and love them! The difference was a night and day experience as soon as I rode them away from the shop. I was chasing TriumPhil last weekend and these stick nicely in the NJ hills. I have used them a few times for fast stops with no issues. Compared to the Mets, I think the Exedra Max is stiffer and more sure-footed. Now to see how many miles I get out of them...

Well it sure looks like I poked a few bears with the original post----
So after reading a few posts I went and checked my tire pressures (I know a dumb A** for not checking it first).
Anyway I found I was about 6 to 8 lbs low. Was about 35 lbs on the rear.

After pumping it up, the tire feels much better.

So...know for the question: What are you guys running for pressures on your different tire (or tyre) types????

Dan

40 psi front (Dunlop Elite 3) and 42psi rear (Bridgestone Excedra Max) and 32psi in rear when running a DarkSide (Federal 595 in 245/50/16 now that my second rear rim has arrived from @Micksan (thanks again Russ) I'll be able to switch between the two, Brigdy for around town a shorter rides DarkSide for longer trips towing the Camper which cause the rear to chew up fairly quickly when running a motor cycle tyre.
In conclusion I support @tdragger in saying that the Metz are crap due to unexpected lockups I ha also had 2 instances before changing where in the first instance a learner driver with obviously a nitwit teacher pulled out of side street I locked up both wheels but the rear came around I just missed the car by millimetres whilst sideways released brakes was buck from seat but regained control and checked my undies the other time was similar but not quite as dramatic but again the rear came around, not have had it happen with DS or Bridgy while have as yet had to do emergency braking with bridgy

Hang on .. I too am always impressed straight after fitting new tyres .. bike tracks and rides like when it was new .. new tyres will do that , regardless of the brand .. especially if the ones you've just taken off were rooted , just saying.

I run 40/40 cold on my Avon Cobras. Works great!
