I'm happy to see that it runs in the rain, some of us have had loads of issues due to rain riding in the States. Maybe the rain is different there.
And why do folks get negatively wrapped up in the tune between a Roadster and a Touring? The Touring of yesteryear was not detuned. It is turned for it's intended duty, low time mid range torque, not high speed blasting on a track. I haven't heard that the GT is turned more for two-up touring, has anyone else?
