I'm giving the darkside a try!

Also the motorcycle shop i like would not mount the car tire, so i did it myself and then needed it balanced. They were willing to do this but it would not fit on their machine, so i say guess i'll have to get dynabeads. Then they guy says well i guess i could give you some equal that we just got free samples in. Got my tire balanced with free equal for 14 bucks.
 
If you look at his tread pattern is asymmetrical but only in the very strict sense., the 2 haves are the same but clocked differently. It's not the extreme asymmetrical type of tire that looks like 2 completely different tires joined at the center. IMHO he should not have any issues caused by the tread pattern.
 
All I am going to say is You have been informed, it is your arse, just don't come back here whining how bad the experience has been if you come unstuck, you have been warned, Sorry I am not normally this blunt but unless you are a Very steady rider .... beware!!!!
 
only that on one side the groves are facing the wrong way for proper water dispersion . but what ever it's his neck

not for me brother!!!
I ask my tyre to keep me glued to the road, thats why I ditched the Metz it was never about cost!!! I got sick of the tail getting loose coming out of the hairpins under throttle and a proper darkside does that
 
An update after 400 miles on my tigerpaw. To me it certainly looks good beefy, can spin out a little in the gravel and dirt and not worry about leaving 5 bucks worth of tire behind. Rode a scenic pass nearby and it will get you down the road and through the twisties with no problems. Real difference is slow speed maneuvering it requires more input-work than a m/c tire. Not sure if this spring i will go back to some brand of m/c back tire or not or change out to a riken raptor maybe 225.
 
Last May someone had a rear wheel on ebay for $250 buy it now price. Wish I had gotten it. I would have used it to try out different tire styles.
