Ignition Running Light Mod

Is there a harness available that can switch off the running lights on a R3T.
Preferably I would like the option to switch on/off the headlamp and turn off the tail and pannier lamps completly. Feel like a fuc#ing wanker riding arround lit up like a xmas tree in the middle of the day.

Isn't that an option with the EB kit? Pretty sure you'll find it's a requirement to have them on though mate. Certainly in ACT/NSW and I thought in all states. I actually don't mind being lit up - at least the ***ers have a better chance of seeing me - but if you want to turn them off I'm pretty sure you can with the EB kit.

You'll get booked if you get pinged by a cop with half a brain .. Richards right it's illegal throughout Australia to modify a 'lights on' model bike to have on/off lights.

Agree with him that at least having your headlights on all the time gives car/bus/truck drivers the chance to spot us .. bikes can be really hard to spot , having your headlights on helps. Didn't always agree with the lights on law but I do nowadays.

Pretty much all bikes sold in the EU for the past 8 years at least have had their lights set to hi/low and the on/off switch removed. We're stuck with them on regardless.

Yes Eastern Beaver kit has the option, I have it on mine and its handy when working the bike instead of pulling the fuse, other than that it's on all the time .

As far as I'm aware its law here in Canada as well to have the lights on.

I don’t mind running the Headlamp ( that does make sense ) its just all the rest I find unnecessary, I have enquired about a harness for this. Will keep you posted. BTW did the TOR, Cat & Ramair thing, pick the bike up from the Dyno Shop this morning.

Just been for a good ride after picking the bike up and its a different beast altogether...gained a 39 - 40% power increase and very happy. Doesnt seem to be too loud as well. The bike is now axactly where I want it to be.
Hav'nt heard anything about the harness though........ maybe they think I am a wanker.

as already stated mate its law on modern motorcycles australia wide to have your lights on day or night thats why they are produced that way . changing it results in defect
