Love the use of 'Hard-boiled' :spitcoffee: .Sound like it's definately TPS .Pulling the wires might be( must be) rotating the TPS enough to adjust the voltage reading. Get the proper Torx key & adjust according to the tune ecu & see if it remains good. If so , all good. If not, change to a new TPS.
