+Idiot lights not working

The wires are on the switch gear side but they didn't go into the sleeving into the bars with the rest.

What I meant was that there are open ended superfluous wires lying around, the wiring colours, layout and quantity doesn't appear to match the wiring diagram, there are also non OEM bullet connectors on the purple wire, and I'm sure a lot more 'stuff'.
Which along with a fraction of the info available makes solving problems over the internet very difficult...

But to answer your question, those 2 wires don't seem to be OEM so nobody will be able to tell you what they are for.

Did you say the tacho is unplugged? Try plugging it in and see do the idiot lights work then?

It's a fair bet that if on the loom side there are no wires for them to mate to - then the ones on the switch side are superfluous. And those loopback wires look way out of order.

iirc you're a bit far from me - and with COVID lockdown - or I'd offer to come and help debug. I'm gearing up to rewire the instrument panel on my 1979 Guzzi. New gear on the way.

Those bullets on the purple wires i fitted, I've put led indicators and DRL's and needed a feed off the headlights.
those two open ended wires are fitted into the block with proper original connector pins.
The tacho is connected but the lights flash only once everytime i flick the kill switch on, this shows that they are connected
but will not work the rest of the time which is bugging me.
According to the wireing diagram I have, the Black and yellow is meant to go to the Vehicle speed sensor and the green and yellow
goes to the Throttle potentiometer But on my bike these wires stop at the connecting block.
Surely you have a potentiometer on ride by wire throttle not cable

I don't know where you are but yes I am down at the arsehole of Spain near Gibraltar.
The older bikes are easier to re wire as there are less electronics.
Nowadays there are too many sensors and other bits and pieces to connect up

Madrid.
The R3 has the tps on the throttle bodies - but actuated by cable - it is NOT a pure Fly-by-Wire.
I'm adding electronics to the Guzzi. Toyed with injection - but .......
I like doing wiring tbh.

Wiring is my pet hate.
I'm ok at it, I extended the bar controls as I fitted T bars no problem but after the accident I wanted to powder coat them so it all had to come out again

Sussed it....I think,
There is a pin broken off in the plug.
It has gone green(corroded)
I will look at it tomorrow I will bypass the connector and see what happens, it must be an earth as all the lights are not working....although it is wierd that they flash when flicking kill switch
