The snow & ice are melting fast in Portland, OR so I took a drive to Cascade Moto Classics in Beaverton to visit my new Rocket III Touring. All the accessories are on the bike finally and all that remains is adding liquids & doing a shake down service before delivery. We've agreed on next Wednesday since temperatures are all above freezing and they have Tuesday to get the initial start up service on the bike. I sat on the bike which is the very first thing you see upon entering the dealership. The solo saddle combined with the folding adjustable backrest was very comfortable. Nothing that a few hundred mile test ride wouldn't confirm. The bike fits me like a glove so I'm really getting excited now. Just a few more days remain. More to follow.

The first thing to do is to inspect your paint. If the bike remains on the show room floor there are bound to be duffs trying to straddle the beast with their snow shoes still on :D

Bob: next spring...send me an email and we (my wife on her trike and I) will have to make a run and meet up to swap lies and maybe have lunch. Rufus, OR on I-84 would be about half way for either one of us and just a short stretch of the legs for our bikes...They have great pressure cooked chicken at Frosty's Lounge. Makes the ride worth it....

Sounds like you are progressing with your purchase....bet you can't wait to ride...good luck...maybe see you next summer...S.B.:D

P.S. We have about a foot of snow in Pasco. No riding here for a good while yet.

Nothing better

I still remember picking up my Rocket on a cold and rainy October day. The weather did not bother me at all ( just the getting my new bike dirty). I just know it'll be a fun ride home for ya... Enjoy !!

Your suggestion for a meet sounds like a fun time. I'll try & keep your screen name and contact you when the weather breaks. You realize this is how rallies start. LOL

Yes I do know that....I thought that there are a "few" owners being populated now in the Pacific N/W and that maybe we should try to organize something even if it starts as a small gathering....until then...S.B.:D
