Long shot, but while the battery connections are being checked, might be worth pulling the fuses and relays one by one and inspecting the connections.
If you have any dielectric grease, give the connectors a bit, just for good measure.
Have a look around the bike generally, especially where there are wires. You might spot some damage which might lead you to a solution to your problem.
 
I've just been thinking.... could also be caused by a short circuit. An intermittent one maybe? One that keeps shorting briefly as the bike trundles along the road picking up vibrations and jolts through the suspension etc...

New turn signals = hands have been on the wiring recently.......Is anything shorting out in that part of the wiring circuit?
 
Bad gas will cause pinging when i think of bad gas i think of contaminated fuel that plugs the filter could possibly set fiel pump codes. Will starve injectors setting codes. Will cause a lean mode codes.
The more throttle you give the worse it runs. Till finally it wont start.
That is why you need to read codes so you can gel an idea what's happening. If you the codes you may loose the info you need to figure what the problem is.
Being that he fill the tank and then had the problem it would be good to remember that as a potential problem.
 
If you don't read the codes first then you loose a lot of valuable information
then you can start guessing and good luck with that.
 
this ^^ is perfect but if you buy MX+ you can use that on any modern car plus it will allow to use both Android and apple phones with it.

While trying really really hard to figure out ABS not bleeding with Tuneecu and 'dealertool aftermarket software; I found a free software,( dont remember name anymore) which is sitting somewhere on one of my other computers, that Free windows software supports this Trumph ECU and can read all the data from new 2020 rocket including freeze frame, delete codes etc. but you need an USB OBD cable and any old/new laptop for it, Rocket 2020 OBD cables are like $20 or $30, I have to dig in to computer to find that software but I am just too lazy because I already have both aftermarket tools on the market for doing basic stuff on the bike.

It could be helpful for people who dont want to buy tuneecu license + new tablet + OBD MX+ and just want cheapest solution possible with a basic OBDII usb cable.

Electric question

I got a reply from Triumph There is a way of installing sequential indicators All 4 indicators would need to be of the same sort, and the ecm programmed to run sequential indicators Waiting for them to tell me how much would they charge for the software adjustment.

Are you certain the MX+ works with Apple with TuneEcu?

not with Tuneecu but for diagnostics cars etc.. havent tried diagnosing rocket but I will try on my apple phone to read data from rocket
