I looked into replacing the bar end weights. because of the design that is a nogo.
I have been using the Buddy Grips for a lot of years and bikes. They helped but not enough on this bike. I found a piece if 1/4 inch foam rubber. I cut to size for both sides. Taped them in place, and took them out for a ride to test. I started by wearing the same gloves I had on yesterday. Took them off after 3 blocks on my street. I got out on I-35 for about 8 miles, then took the back roads home. All I can say is that I did not feel any (or very little ) vibrations.
The Buddy Grips are a good product, but nothing is perfect. With the Foam Rubber worked great for me. I found some on Amazon. They have different thickness. I chose the 8mm, not much difference to the 1/4 thickness.
Anyhow I want to say Thanks for all the interest and help. You folks got this old brain up and chugging away
