I should have guessed....

I agree with dandiego MADSS has the best prices on most items. I found the accessory lights and TORs cheaper on Ebay but Scott at MADSS will take care of any problem if there is one.

I got the emblem as part of the deal. I did not get the trim kit and you can not tell with the bags. Thought about cutting up the trim that was there but no need really. I do not know about other dealers but Jeff at Ridge has always given me the straight scoop on anything I have done or buy.

Willie, if it doesn't bother you for now, keep your eyes peeled and I bet you find some used trim parts some time or another.

At least the bike is pretty inexpensive for what you get. I just figured it would take an additional $5k to get it up to speed.
I bought and early model new (2005 in 2004).....paid more then the current selling prices. But, it's been a flawless machine. Price is soon forgotten if the quality is there.

I got mine for about $1000 under MSRP out the door. I thought it was a great deal. Lot more comfortable than the FJR. Then I spent $450 on the TORS, $250 on the front crash bar, $250 on the sissy bar and pad. Still cheaper than buying parts for the HD and of course the one thing we all love, more power. I keep thinking I will start selling off the H-D's and use the money for more Rocket bling. Then I look at it and don't really want to. Looks so good just the way it is. I downloaded a picture from the Triumph site that I use as my desktop of an R3T just like mine only it is all blinged out and I just think it makes it look to much like a Roadking. Think I am going to spend some money on the Trophy instead.

Well, as it turns out, I got the needed trim kit and pad and last night installed everything. I was quite surprised to find the emblem as part of the pad kit. I was pretty pleased about that. The sissy bar and luggage rack were fairly simple to install. I really like the quick release mechanism. Triumph did a good job engineering that little beauty. Actually, Triumph does a great job engineering every product they put out, that is why I am on Hinckley Triumph #5 over the last 11 years.

The trim kit should be included with the QR Sissy Bar kit However. To sell an incomplete kit is not a good plan.

I got a few more miles on the R3T today. A little cool but nice. The bike rocks. it is just a great cruiser! I am not going to be a happy camper when the snow falls!
