I said I would never do it, but...........

Yeah, I ran my proxes at low pressure, 28 psi.
I run my Yoko Avid Envigor at the same pressure, and no such wear.

Im confused mate, are you saying the throttle hand in the States is on the left bar ?

No, Wrecka, not unless you perform a reverse-facing handstand while riding!

I meant that devices like these are OK for folks either with hand issues or as cheap and reasonably safe rests.

Judging by my own experience, this gizmo is both unsafe and unreliable to use as either a throttle or "cruise" control:

I've been wondering the same thing.

I did my own research over the years, as there are plenty videos on YOUTUBE/DARKSIDE OR DARKSIDE RIDING, AND changing tires..

I am not broadcasting good or bad, please make up your own mind, with your riding style in mind with your own safety in mind too....

i still scrape my boards out on mine, i feel i'm going to loose my front wheel before my back..! I have 245/50/16r TOYO 97V (tire must match your own bike tire ratings in speed/size ) ( THREAD MUST BE MIRRORED PATTERN) done 50,000kms already at least another 20,000kms left, it was recommend 70,000kms for a car so i'll pretty close to that i reckon , previous tire was recommend 50000,kms for a car, i got 40,000kms,
(bike was $500=6,000kms /over 2 month period/ that's $3,000 a year) (car $200=45,000km// 2 & 1/2 years)...P.S Pressure I Ran 40/50psi"(a little hard but ok! )...i found anything lower was bouncey or wasn't good on fuel per tank,

I found the handle a little different, but was all over in 5 minutes, found better grip take-off/braking grip a bit better.. there lots of video's a bikes gone darkside ON YOUTUBE....
i am not broadcasting good or bad, please make up your own mind, with your riding style in mind with your own safety in mind too...
this is only my is RESEARCH, NOT YOURS..!! I'M AM NOT LEGALLY BINDING IN THIS HEARSAY.!

You can stand me up at the gates of Hell, but I won't back down...

JUST A COUPLE OF VIDEO'S I FOUND IN 2 MINUTES

Not proof enough, need another 200k miles and then we may consider it

Do you DS'ers switch over to snow tires in winter? They are equally as safe I am sure!

Support the MT industry! Change your rear tire every 5K with your oil!

The money you save on the CT's you can prepay your funerals

not even going to ask what that supposed to mean, with 268 posts you need 8000 more to even consider it
