Bill, It's in the airflow and will be fine. It's not where I personally installed mine, but that's just because I have a different cut on my bearclaw that shows the tops of the filters.
Nice work. I like the cut on the claw too, shows personality.
Much better than it just lying on top of the valve cover. LOL
By the way, I noticed the oil cap temp gauge ... good choice.
