Bought the Ramair cleaning and re-impregnation kit during the recent sale and now I am thinking how to clean the thing. Normal foam filters come apart and you wash the foam out and re-oil. It doesn't look like the Ramair comes apart. Does someone have experience with this and could share the procedure. Cheers
This thought also crossed my mind (I disposed of the original instructions - responsibly of course) what are the intervals necessary for cleaning the RamAir filter?
I am kind of a nut but we take it off and wash it. Then we let it dry out and after a few hours we oil it down and reinstall it. Same procedure with the Harley and the over-sized K&N filter. Key point is to let it dry out completely before apply oil. If not it makes a mess of things.

Yep @1K9 that's the one I bought. @sonny do you just dunk the whole filter in a cleaning solution wash, or do you strip the filter down some way. Also, what cleaning solution do you use. The Ramair cleaner does not look like it is in sufficient quantity to wash the whole filter at once.

I take the Ramair off. Then spray it down with the cleaner. Let the cleaner soak in for a few moments. Then I dip the filter in a bucket of water with hose running and continue until water is clear. Then we air dry the filter. Once dry hit it with a light coat of oil. Reinstall.
