I'm 6'4", & on longer trips I need to stretch out a bit - more than the foot boards will allow. I know there are lots of pegs out there, but I don't want to mess up the lines of the bike.
Many thank.
Kuryakins pegs are great, but mount them to the Rivco Engine Guards. I bought the Triumph bars from the dealer cause I was too lazy to mind the advice here on this forum. The triumph bars are really weak.

Extremely weak, unless you weld in reinforcements. My new bike will have the Rivco's on it and I'll be able to give a first hand evaluation/comparison, but the Rivco's are supposed to be stronger, especially with the cross piece that ties both halves together.
I can stand on them and jump on them and they just give a little. I think the extra brace that connects the two halves together really make a big difference, and I also think the Rivco's use a thicker wall tube, BUT the tube they are made of is smaller in diameter than the Triumph dresser bars, so just keep that in mind if you're looking for highway pegs. My Kuryakyn foot pegs hang nicely on the bars which take my size 12's nicely. I just have to be careful that I don't plant the rear brakes when I put my feet on the highway pegs. The Classic rear brake pedal is quite long, and I've accidently applied the rear brakes quite strongly at highway speed. It took me a moment or two to figure out why I had to give more throttle. I'm much more careful now.
I got several pieces of advice re the Kuriakyn pegs, which I went ahead & orderd. But I didn't know about the Rivco v Triuph dresser bars. I don't have time now to change the set up - heading off on a 10 day trip this Friday - so does anyone have any horror stories or advice for the Kuriakyn/Triumph dresser bar set up?
