I only feed my monster high octane gas, of course, but I’m curious about which gas chain sells the best quality gas. Shell and Esso have a 93, Chevron has a 91 and PetroCanada has a 94, and they all say they have different additives. I don’t see that PetroCan is a member of the Top Tier program, and I probably want to avoid gas with ethanol added to it.

Thanks, Shazaam. I’ve also found the website for Top Tier gas which lists only three major Canadian gas chains. However, Shell boasts that it exceeds Top Tier’s standards, and that’s the gas that full with… as long as there’s Shell in the area. The others are Chevron and Texaco.
I have said it before. Most bigger gas chains use 'top tier gas.' Although some of the 'top tier' smaller local stations is from the bottom of the tanks and usually is dirty/sediment. They get the gas cheaper from the major gas company's that won't use it. They can still brag that it's top tier because it is. It's just scraping the bottom of the tank kind of top tier. The major company's cost more but you know what you're getting. Buyer beware.
