Hi all,
I have recently purchased a set of the Rivco Risers and in the instruction sheet it talks about a thick washer that is on the top side of the Triple Tree. On my R3T, the thick washer was on the bottom of the Triple Tree. It appeared that the Rivco Riser was missing either a part or was machined wrong. I just got off the phone with Rivco and the engineer there was convinced that my bike was assembled wrong and instructed me to redo my installation of their risers and move the washer to the top.
I don't have a service manual that has the Touring model specifics. Can anyone either post a picture from the manual or explain the assembly of the Stock Riser to the Triple Tree? Is it:
1. Bolt through top of stock riser through triple tree, then washer and nut or
2. Bolt through top of stock riser then washer then through triple tree and nut?
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Steven
