There is a member that put that sensor as well as the IAS  up front where the horn is located. He said it makes a difference for the cool air to get to them. The altitude sensor being up front needs air rushing by in order for it to work correctly instead of sitting stagnate in the air box. There is no air circulating now because the air box isn't receiving a air signal from the engine sucking air in through the box. I don't know just stating what the man said.
