Looking for pannier Bag advice for my R3O,
Hard vs. soft? Size recommendations? Mounting options? . Any tips from other R3O riders appreciated,

Soft for occasional use......hard, for regular use.......Mounting options are somewhat challenging unless you go for the Triumph luggage system, which isn't really that great if you need to carry a lot of stuff.
Water proofing.....anti-theft characteristics important factors to you? Is set up cost a significant factor for you?

Waterproofing and anti-theft features are key for me. Cost is a factor, but quality matters most. Can you share the approximate cost of the pannier bags you're considering?

If I knew, I would happily share it with you but I don't know because I decided a while back that the 2020 (onwards) Rocket3 isn't a bike I want to use panniers on.
The bike is wide enough for my liking already.

Instead, I chose to focus more on fixing my load directly behind me. That decision was made much easier because I don't intend to tour on this bike with a pillion.
The pillion seat has gone and it has been replaced with a mounting rack. That rack can in turn, accommodate various luggage options. A hard-shell 'top box' or a large or small soft bag or waterproof roll top tube bag.......even a pillion pad when the need arises.
Added to that, can be the use of a tank bag, if I need more storage capability.

Keep posting your questions. I'm sure folks would know the answers will chime in with the answers you are looking for eventually.
