Hi mate, I'm originally from the Scottish Border Region, arrived in Aus back in 1990 after almost two years living & working in Holland using it as a base to tour all over Europe whenever time and funds allowed. Managed to make it to most of the Euro Motogp's in the days before the end of the 2 stroke era and the sideways or verticle Cagiva stunt show from Randy Mamola. Made it to the awesome Bol'Dor and Franchorchamp 24hr races and rode over different parts of the Alps quite a few times. Reaching as far South as camping on the beach in Crete, spending what I'm sure would be an incredible memory if I had not met this Queenslander bloke and joined him on his mission to drink the island dry of Amstel tallies. Happy Daze indeed.
We still attempt similar feats to this very day. Or at least we do when his Harley actually makes it all the way here from Stanthorpe.
I finally put down my roots here in the Gold Coast Hinterland right at the foot of
Mt Tamborine. Which has become the first place I can truly feel like I am at home. Last time I visited Scotland was 2009. It only took a few days before I realised the weird empty feeling I had was my very first experience of feeling homesick. I just couldn't wait to get back to good ole Oz and beautiful clear blue sky's.

Hi Paul, we have actually chatted online a few months ago when I first started working through the process of getting my bike registered and road legal again. Quite a bit of red tape to get through because of certain health issues that forced me to hang up my helmet for much longer than I expected it to. Not been able to jump on my bike and chase the horizon for the first time since 1976 was definitely not on my bucket list !
I will most certainly be in touch again with a bunch of questions. Until then, take care and all the best for 2017.
