Hello Rocketeers

Mittzy...i've watched the you tube video.....tuning beyond the 200 hp. My "dutch" tuner made sure my own made exhaust fitted with the ramair air-filter. skipped the "touring" speed en power-limit (187 max/102 hp) and i have a "healthy" 148 hp 232 nm topspeed 289 km-bike by now!
However....the guy made it clear that the rocket engine can be easily upgraded (turbo-compressed!) to a dazzling 600 to 700 hp monster!........Put some wings on it and it realy becomes a Rocket. (nog for me...i'm happy -sometimes a little bit scared - with what ive got).
 
Are there scottisch members on the forum?
I intent to visit scotland for about 10 days in june '17........any tips, things and places i should visit, great motorminded hostels etc.

Have you considered a back rest, several types available, Utopia is one that comes to mind, Day LOng too

On holidays my backrest wil be my lugage. I recently reinstalled and changed the Original sissybarsystem into a lugagerack. On the lugagerack a removable passengerseat is also possible. I wil show pictures of it a soon the passengerseat is ready (same style as the seat shown in pictures) .
New ideas are Always food for thought on a forum like this i ghuess?

I'm really interested in the details of your foot rails! That's exactly what I had hoped to do with the pegs on my 2013 R3R. I even bought an extra set of rails to work with but then I got tied up with other things and thought I'd run into trouble reversing the brake cylinder with the ABS system. I'd really appreciate more close up pics of how you managed it on both sides. The placement looks perfect and I'd like to get my feet back some more.

I also bought a set of rails en startet welding pieces of iron on it. The shifting pedal is home made en bend out of a piece of a aluminium. I fitted two small bearings in it and ik makes shifting gear big fun. Beware to keep a short "angle". The last foto shows my problem with the breaking pedal. I will have to change it while i have to push te breaking pedal to hard to make is stop. In a former life the breaking pedal was the shifting pedal! (i turned it around) the new pegs were taken from the Original touring the project was made of. (see last foto)
I found it easy to make the alternations, i used my tig-weldinggear, a grinder and pieces of thick metal. I kept the oilreservoir in its proper place. To do so you have to turn around the brakepump, welding new pieces of metal to mount it on the rail. You also have to enlarge the oil hose and the two electrical wires about 10 cm. I finished it all with nice black powdercoating. I takes some time but it works fine.

Backrest and lugage-solution. Made out of the Original sissy-bar construction of touring model. The little seat can be easily removed to make place for lugage. "sissybar"" can also be removed.
 
Vary well done like the consept. The only thing I would have done different is black seat or Burgany, seat is done nice looks comfortable.
 
Thx....the seat's made out of real leather...it should colour a bit more to dark brown by natur, time and use of darker leathergrease.
