Hey there from new zealand. well it's the middle of the winter here so best time to buy a new bike! I'm not a cruiser fan but love a good muscle bike. Some of my favorite past bikes have been heavy ill handling pigs like the xs1100 - bikes with charisma, bikes that you love but that will kill you given half a chance. Currently a zrx1200 kwakasaki and a ktm 690 in the shed, both great machines but now I have spotted a 2013 R3 Roadster in good nick at a good price. I did buy a t bird storm new a couple of years ago but though it looked nice it wasn't me, flogged it off and rode a zx1400 for a while to restore my insanity.
Gday Ratdog, welcome from sunny Waikato, well sometimes anyway, buy the Rocket, under Insanity in the dictionary there should just be a picture of an R3, they are wrong in so many ways. I haven't seriously looked at another bike since getting mine. What area you from?

hi there ha, I'm in the waikato almost, thames coast! haven't actually bought that r3 yet but I have that crazy feeling you get when you know what is going to happen. I d get that "wrong in many ways" idea - sensible bikes, cars, whatever are all good if that's what you are about but they have no spirit. I like wrong things, will look you up when i get me that beast
Welcome from Oz, dunno if you would have seen the old 1970s Aunty Jack Aussie tv comedy in Enzed. But to me an R3 is the Aunty jack of motorcycles, Aunty Jack used to say "come here my lovelies and I will rip your bloody arms off". Rockets definately like testing arm sockets. Either way you go, have fun looking and test riding.
