Hello from Réunion Island (Indian Ocean)

Hello, new to this forum but old in the world of motorcycles (I've been riding since I was 10 years old...) I'm happy to join this community. I have just bought the second Triumph of my career, a 2022 Rocket 3R which only has 1000 km on the clock !

I hope that I could contribute to this forum as much as to those I am already registered with for my other motorcycles and that I would also obtain reliable information from these members. And, you never know, welcoming a member to Reunion Island to show them this incredible island !!!

My other passions are sailing and rugby (even if I played a little American football...)

I hope not...that said, I don't use the chopper much anymore given my advanced age ! I think I'll soon put the engine back in a dirt track type suspended frame.

Just looked up where you live . What kind of roads do you have . Seems very mountainous . How long does it take to go around the island ? It's beautiful .

Hello Canadian ! My niece has just returned from Chicoutimi...
Regarding "my" island I offer you this link which will enlighten you! As for the tour of the island, it is approximately 200 km long and can be done in approximately 3 hours (in a Ducati...). Indeed the island is very mountainous and it really turns a lot (look on Google Maps at the road which goes from Saint Louis to Cilaos, nicknamed "the road of 300 bends" and which is only 36 km long and you will have an idea of the local relief ). That said, I would love to go take a trip to Quebec one of these days (in summer though...).
