Welcome to the site from Afghanistan. Unfortunately, I have bad news for you, everyone in the know....knows that the black ones are the slowest color that is why they are the only color still available. But even as the slowest color it will more than put a grin on your face every time you twist the throttle.
It's just too bad everything involving Triumph also involves alot of miles. I live 70 miles either way between two dealers, If I had one down the street there would be NO contest. Still, even with the travel time, Triumph won out.
the dealer that i got my r3 classic from is 2 hours away this site was a big help on desideing to buy it and i get to pick it on april 3 and can't wait congrats on you'r new ride high gear !!

Pay NO attention to Dennis,
He's been in the sun to long and its baked his brain.
I'm just glad you're getting one,
and he is correct in that you'll have a permanent grin.
enjoy.

I’ve always had to ride some distance (about an hour) to get to any dealer when I was riding Hondas. Then I moved to Southern Indiana and have a Honda dealer about 5 minutes from my house. So, of course, I traded my Valkyrie for an R3 at a dealer that is 2+ hours away. Now, I loved my Valk, but I’ve never stopped smiling since I got my R3! It's worth the effort This site is great for getting new information. Should I ever get a job again, I’m going to copy some of the ideas I’ve found here for my own R3. Thanks for all the info from all the people on here that post constantly!
I got the last faster color red they had out of the crate in April 08'. My second one and have had great service close by from the best I think anyway. Welcome to the site and don't be strange like me.
