Hello from Dayton Ohio

Hi and welcome from another Brit TPS would be my first suspect responsible for high idle was the cause of mine

Welcome.

My experiences with high/erratic idle on a 2005 were:

1. TPS - on my 3rd one & fine for >12yrs.
2. Idle Speed Controller / Stepper Motor - disconnected in 2018 and manually set idle with screw.
3. A bug - literally, a big beetle managed to lodge itself inside the throttle arm on the engine preventing it from closing. I had to ride 20 miles with idle at 2-3,000RPM.

Thanks wjb. I've been here for 40 years now, and the sprawl continues. But a lot of new stuff going on in downtown revitalization.

That is my suspicion. I have ordered both primary & secondary TPS. I have some confusion about the voltage readings from TuneEcu.
