Welcome from Maine, interesting bike history, me I started when I was 15, been riding ever since, learning the rocket protocal, it's a different kind of beast from I'm used to. For one, you don't even consider going to 5th gear until you can maintain a steady 65 mph, 4th gear goes from 50-80 nicely and no shifting, I was trying to use 5th when I could, not necessary. Too many hills and slower roadways in Maine to use 5th, got her on the interstate and into 5th she went, so what I'm saying is she's her own kind of bike. 2500 rpm is 55mph, so 5000 is 110 in 4th gear! Haven't had her up there yet, 90 something to this point, and she was still pulling hard, stock too, so others with the air box and exhaust changes say the change is dramatic, so enjoy!!!!
