Handlebars

I love my 13 inch apes with the kuryakin throttle boss or whatever it's called. I'm 6'3" and the bars fit well. The only thing I don't care to do now is pop wheelies. See my album and you can see for yourself what a difference the bars make. I disliked the stock bars and the touring bars even less.
Only problem is you would have to have cables made like I did and the project then gets expensive.

I just did 1200 miles in 3 1/3 days and IF I didn't have my throttlemeisters would really be hurting now. In the twisties I'm cool, but holding the throttle open a bit on the hwy gets old quick. Throttlemeisters will hold speed, but are easy to adjust a bit to correct speed.

Handle bars

Handle bars 1 1/2 inch 90 degrees

Stainless steel

Handle bars 2 inch T-bars, 14.5 inches stainless steel have got shorter T-bars 12.5 inches to the bottom of the T-bars. These bars in the photo have a very comfortable
feel. All accessories fit straight on, the 12.5 inch are more my liking, email if interested.

I rode my 01' Valk yesterday for about 175 miles through the country twist and turn backroads....my right wrist is killing me today. Honda (at least this one) has less angle to the tree than my R3 does. I don't think that the Valk bars are the cure but would make the ergonomic problems worse....IMHO....SB.

Have you tried rotating the Valk bars down a little towards the tank? Made a huge difference (along with Aeromach risers) on my '99.

If you want to try this, email me before you do it. A lot of guys have dented their tanks by not following a few simple precautions. It's a 10 minute job at worst.

JR..yes I have tried several heights on the Valk bars from the fuel tank. The problem is that I am wide at the shoulders and must pinch my elbows into my ribs to get a good angle with my arms/wrists and hands.
The R3 offers somewhat the same problem but not as bad as the Valk. The angle on the R3 bars is more toward the 90 degrees from the center line of the bike but are still located too far forward for me even with the Rivco extensions. I would prefer to be able to sit with more of a straight back.
Has anyone actually tried to calculate the hand grip angle of different bars from the centerline of the bike?
Too bad I don't have longer arms....not knuckle dragging long though...:D..on second though who would notice???...SB.
