Hello @Gromett and welcome from Virginia.
I have been to Perth twice with the US Navy; my favorite place in Australia so far. (Thanks to Veronica from Scarbough, and the drinking contest with the boys at Campbell).
By the way, how much did you get for the wife and kids when you sold them to get your bike?

Thanks for those kind words folks. When I went for the trade in on the wife and kid's the wifey reminded me that she was helping to finance the bike so I decided to keep 'em.....
It appears that being a Navy boy you have a few stories to tell as there is never a dull moment on the ship or when docked - I occasionally worked on the Aussy ships when they docked as well as the Subs but you need to be a person with special qualities to leave dry soil to sail for months at a time......... Not my cuppa Tea Mate.
Welcome Mark and good to see you finally joined up. Get used to your new ride and see if you can resist the "I must modify bug" , especially the easy extra HP waiting to get unleashed.
Thanks for that Mr 'A' - you are right with the modify bug. You start with the mirrors and the indicators and then the racing pipes and the air intake.... proceed with the rear tyre and go to a car tyre and then replace the cams and the seat - move on to the handle bars and the dyno tune.......
It's a good thing that I have moths in my wallet and can only dream of the above - C u around the traps.
Cheers.
