Great jacket for Steve - when he gets to that end point maybe!

If buttons and zippers are reversed, then, simply, it is made for ladies. I can only assume you are embracing that X chromosome when window shopping.

Euros drive on the same side as you lot.

And a pint has 20 fluid ounces.

Back to the original post, it really doesn't matter if your jacket for the final ride fits or not. That's what the make scissors for, to split them up the back so they look good on the front. So to that end, as long as it isn't child sized it should work just fine!

Never thought of that. My other piece of riding apparel that shrunk over the years is my waxed cotton Belfast riding suit. Loved it when it fit me. Everyone knows how cotton can shrink while hanging in the motorcycle gear closet.

Or it just could be that I'm a man of more significant stature now. Yeah, that's the ticket.

And I know what Phil is saying about the zipper. My Belfast jacket is the same way and it is definitely a men's jacket and pants. It was made in UK and was one of the last of four imported into the US when I bought it.

Triumph clothing sizes due vary depending on the style and cut of the Jacket. The Alpha character e.g. XXXL marked sizes are I think the roomiest of the styles. The Numeric sizes are provided in both UK chest inches on top and weird Euro values below.

I have UK 52 - EU 62 in the Tempest and smaller UK 42 - EU 52, UK 38 - EU 48 in the Spitfire.

and another 3 used Triumph jackets available I have not posted yet.

I shall need to get some photos etc.

But in summary another early Triumph 'Triple Collection' brand Black and Yellow fabric (better looking than the other one IMO and no tacky badges )with armor etc but no removable liner in a SMALL,
\
Another mesh and fabric 56/66 solid black summer jacket with armor and air vent zips front and back with detachable water proof liner. 'DEUS' (3.5 "x 2.5") with 'Triumph' underneath badging on RH shoulder and round '59' (3") with 'Triumph' underneath badging on LH shoulder.

Leather Triumph OEM 54/64 Black dark grey inserts and large leather dark grey script Triumph logos on Front chest (8" x 2") and shoulders (10" x 2.5") with armor and air vent zips front and back.
Very nice jacket one size too small for me = XXL. I cannot remember if the detachable quilted liner came with it or is one from a XXXL Yellow Fluero Expedition type jacket I lost and re-purchased.

I know this thread is all about the jackets , and how small us English fellas are ahem !
But that montage of Steve's (pops ) , photos gets me every time . I don't care what jacket you wear Oldbul , you are and always will be my hero !

I blush with Gratitude for your very flattering words, my son from other parents!

I'm now exclusively wearing Exofficio in black with yellow racing stripes!
We have been somewhere similar before and my eyes and Google ad suggestor are just getting over it.

OK, OK, I'll have to confine or redirect my whining to you bloody Brits, then.
