Genuine Triumph Tail Bag - FAIL In my case.

When taking tour groups around Europe (from Scotland) I have this set-up that expands if needed. I have a Rocket 3 Touring for the pillions so not issue with this set up lol

I bought the tail bag knowing it only mounted to the pillion seat (read all the instructions first as I needed to find the right part number before buying), as in nearly 4 years with the bike, I have not once carried a passenger. With the tail pack and a backpack I can get 2-3 nights away in warmer months where I am only packing shorts, t-shirts etc and a pair of comfy shoes. And I can't imagine ever wanting to road trip in our winter when it does reach subzero temps and I'd need to pack woolies. But then I never went into the R thinking it was an Iron Butt candidate...

Oh, and it rained on me in both directions on the last trip, but because I stayed in motion, the tail pack stayed bone dry. It had a large meat shield protecting it...

Agree with all these sentiments, but I only want one bike. Only had the GT since August, but hoping to do some touring this year when the weather picks up. We have the new Triumph panier luggage which is great and I also have a Ventura Spada bag that slips over the sissy bar, rests on the rack, and secures around and under the sissy bar - just perfect for touring 2-up. What I was looking for was something for just the odd day out solo, that I could leave on the rack. Triumph seem to have a gap in the range there !

Thanks for the picture Ward......
I've looked on ebay and not able to find what you have. Could you send a link to that bag?

Hi, I'm trying to make something similar for attaching a top box and a sissy bar. Is it possible for you to share more photos of the rack you've built ?
