So, ive had some problems today, ive recently had all chrome off for powered black, put the foot peg rails back on and connected top the gear selector etc. Bike in neutral, starts good, took for a ride 1st ok, 2nd ok, 3rd ok, pull into petrol station, wouldn't go into neutral, fuelled up, rolled off in 3rd or 4th. little ride, only had 4th 5th possibly. so back at home, took gear selector off, tried different position, ended up just with 1st and neutral ffs. Any ideas would be appreciated

quick update, I had a look at the bike today, started it up on drive and left to idle for 5-10 mins, oil tank filled up nicely, gave the gears a go and managed to select all 5 without to much trouble, im thinking it wasn't fully warmed up from standing in the cold outside and needed a good warm up. Im thinking of dropping. oil out and putting some 15w50 fully synthetic into it, filter change as well, then checking again

If you had all gears before you took things apart I'd say that your positioning of the linkage assy is not quite right. Always used 10w 40 semi in mine 80000miles no probs.:)

That’s what I’m thinking, I actually think it’s because it was sat during this ****ty cold spell we’ve had, then got pissed at me :)
