Gear position symbol a dash plus MIL light

2023 Rocket 3 GT
First startup after the winter and 2023 Rocket 3 GT woke up not happy. The gear indicator on screen is a dash and does not change. Started bike fine then traction control disabled alarm was active and MIL light was on. Went for short ride and nothing cleared, shifted fine and ran normal. Restarted later and traction control has cleared but gear position still a (-) and MIL still on. Will call dealer but wanting to know if it was something I can fix or prevent in future.
 
Do you have a quick shifter on the bike ? Did your battery die at any point since last season ?
 
It's better to visit the dealer because without you scanning the check engine light code and sharing it here, we would just be guessing.
 
No quick shifter. Kept battery on tender. Moved a few times changing the gears from first to neutral without starting but have done that lots in summer. Will see what codes dealer reads.
