G'day from outback Western Australia


Why we all drive 4WD up here, too. At least in a fourby, you hit their body. In a sedan, you take out their legs and they land in your lap.

Had an ambulance call out for a cattle strike just south of the Cappy one night. As we were on the way there, we could see flames leaping into the sky. We thought the car must have gone up, and were preparing ourselves for the worst. When we got there, we found out that 7 of the 8 people (in a commodore sedan, all adults) were mostly ok, but that they had gotten cold while they were waiting, and lit a bonfire on the side of the road

My own fault .. had come down the Stuart from Darwin when we still had open speed limits ..180-200ks all the way to the SA border. Had intended to slow down once in South Australia ... but you know
 
OH #ell all this time I thought OKLAHOMA was great but that sounds like fun. Looks like fun too. Sounds like fun. well anyways welcome from the big city of Henryetta Oklahoma home to Number 74.
 

Over the years I have hit most things in the Trucks ,had Roos squirming around amongst the Bull bar ,smashed Emus on the bonnet , the drag link bent on the steering by a wombat, one side Fuel tank almost taken off by a bull ,the stench from the road kill as you pass stays in the cab for quite a while ,the top end of Queensland is just as bad for Feral road kill but if you swerve to miss them it can be goodnight Irene RSover
 
Assuming tis total black out there in the OB except for your headlights, there is NO WAY you are going to see an object in the roadway, react, brake and avoid it unless you are traveling about 48 Km/h.
