Hi all, About 2 years ago I had to bolster up the front of my R3T because it was just too wimpy and
I had just added a full fairing. I went with Racetech Goldvalve emulators and springs with 20WT.
The beauty of the Racetech system is that you order springs based on a calculated weight formula.
You also adjust the emulators based on load. So the springs and the emulators work together and
it's based on a combined bike and passenger weight. No compromise on valving or spring weight.
I like a firm front end because it means a more accurate response to steering input. I also tour
two up, fully loaded. I don't want a wallowing sloppy handling 1,000 LB beast to deal with.
I had my Triumph dealer install. Glad I did. When Daniel came out with this 2 foot long T-handle
allen wrench, I was glad I had them do it! That wrench probably costs more than the labor charge
I paid. When he took the fork cap off and NO SPRING UNDER THE CAP! He put that long T-handle
allen way down inside the tube to unbolt the spring retainer. If this was a conventional fork, it would
have been much easier to work on. To add to the tailoring ability, Rachtech tech support will work with
you to set the emulators to get the best ride for you. No guesswork involved. That's worth a few extra $ IMO.
After it was complete, the mechanic took it out for a ride and was wow'ed by the feel and feedback.
