Mine has the correct tire size for the bike. I had to start both bolts in the sleeves and grommets on both sides so they were most of the way in and then slide the rail into the fender and then align it and I was able to then push the bolts in the fender portion and start them by hand. If you try it by aligning the rail first in the fender and angle the bolt in it will never work. Hope this helps.
