Front Dresser bars and highway pegs

Its it a good idea for highway pegs and front dresser bars on the R3 or don't bother? Thoughts?
 
Those are NOT "front dresser bars"!
They are ENGINE GUARDS and they certainly do serve that purpose.
When you fall, you shall wish you have them . . .

The additional pegs provide a welcome position change on a long ride.
Take care to insure they are mounted up high enough to prevent them digging into pavement on a tight turn.
Just my 2 cents worth . . .
 
Yes. Totally worth it. They don't detract from the image of the bike and it's a much shorter distance to get the bike up from the bar than the side when you step in gravel at a light.

Also there are a few reports of significant engine damage from a simple drop which the guards protect against. She a sturdy bike, but she a big 'un and gravity will claim any victim it can.

Extra footings on a long ride are never a bad idea.

Definitely a worthwhile thing to do. I reckon the one's that come with the r3t will bolt right on. But I reckon the aftermarket is worth pursuing as well.
 
Got a deal from a dealer and ordered the original dresser bars from triumph the adjustable mounts and Kurayakn pegs that are wider than the Triumph ones. Let you know once they come in.

I guess I am not stock anymore.
 
I have the bars on all my bikes for the above mentioned reason, I did have pegs on my std but did not keep them on long would not even think of putting pegs on my Roadster as it is perfect fit wise the way it is.

Same setup I run. The Kuryakyn wide pegs and offset mounts are really comfortable and offer the chance to switch up riding positions-makes a huge difference.
 
I put kuryakyn ISO grips on every bike I've got so I reckon it's a matter of time before I do ISO pegs for the highway bar.

If you got the OEM engine bars you are yet stock.
Pegs are like tires - they don't count.
