I'd give my two front teeth if they developed some floorboards and forward controls that mounted more in line with factory setup. Don't know how keen I am on just three bolts coming off the engine block for my feet.
Agreed!
Real nice design, BUT . . .
Too bad the design did not incorporate those of us who prefer the optional factory engine guards,
which protect our engine cases from very expensive damage in a minor fall or crash.
I understand what you are saying about the guard. His focus I believe was to come up with something that would be an affordable clean looking option there is another company that makes forward controls that use an engine guard but they are four times as much money. I like that this gives us less fortunate ones an option for going forward!

For most of us geezers, the feet placement of the Classic and Standard models are MUCH better than on the Roadster.
Having bad hips and knees, I found 4 to 6 inches forward was adequate.
Yours look to be about 8 inches or more forward.
I am Very happy with my Standard boards, however, they are fast becoming more and more scarce and spendy.
Perhaps a well priced option such as yours that would allow the use of the engine guard would have more than enough demand to entice your company to do a re-design.
