I love the look of my "naked rocket" with just the fly screen. I notice that at 70mph. The wind blast is all but gone from my chin on down. I believe this is due to the shape and height of the fly screen.

If one were to cut a piece of thin gauge stainless sheet (thin enough to form to the curve of the Fly Screen). An drill 4-5 holes in the screen about 1" from the top to attach the newly cut decorative yet functional stainless riser. How much better do you think this would be a raising the pocket of calm air from say my chin to top of my head?

I think if cut properly and nice looking fastners and grommets were used this mod would look good, work as needed and not cost much. I think 1-1/2" or 2" above top of the existing fly screen is all that is needed.

When I think of this mod I envision the Vmax screen as an idea.

Hopefully the link works...

Why not try it the other way round- fix the stainless section at the bottom so the top stays clear (if you've got a clear flyscreen that is) - I'd rather be able to see where I'm going! My Roadster fly screen could be a bit bigger so I was thinking of "adjusting" it somehow too.

Just haven't found anything suitable - yet. Good luck! Give it a try.
I made a low grab rail for the rear to replace the backrest out of a bit of drilled strip that was lying in the shed, when I'm riding solo, for nothing. DIY beats £££ anytime!

I got an angry fly screen from evilbob and it came with 2" stainless spacers and long bolts. This moves the screen away from the clocks towards the front. This changes the pocket of air you sit in and has the same effect as raising the top edge(imho) its a very easy mod and worth a try first.

hope you can see them in the pic.

and here it is on the bike
