Well, I did it. I signed my life away! (obviously my life is not worth much ! LOL)
So in 2 wks I will take delivery on a Brand new 2008 R3T Jet Black w/ Aux light accessory!!!!!

WOOHOOO!!!!! I have been trolling this forum for a couple of months and after being here a short time I have come to realize that you guys are pretty cool. Everybody with their specific personalities. Cracks me up!!!!

But also at the same time, the information and the willingness of the community to help at large is amazing!! I have been to other sites (shall remain nameless due to the possibility of embarrassment in wich i feel this site is above !!!! LOL their I go cracking myself up again!!) and this one is by far superior.

So I am glad to have stumbled across and feel privledge to be a part of this community. The upgrades to the site and the dedication of the mods certainly proves I have chosen the right forum.

As far as RAAIV I am trying to make arrangements, I dont think it can happen as I pick my vacation the Nov of the year prior. But I look forward to getting to know the community more and hope to join on future rides!!!!!

THATS GREAT! Im happy for you. You are gon'na be one big smile after it gets there. Just out of curiousity.... what will be the HP and Ft/lbs on your new ride? I heard the HP has been decreased but with an increase in torque.

yeah it comes in a 106hp and about 153 ft/lbs. Increased torque but lower hp. Im sure it it will be plenty but you can always upgrade with pipes filters and tunes get to about 130hp some have even recovered to about 140hp. But im just happy to ride stock until i get used to the beast. Smiles a plenty!!!

CONGRATS! Don't back out now, you'll never forgive yourself I believe your quite right about this site.
There's a rule to remember at all times: Before you spank the throttle on the R3 have a plan, on where you're going cause the FBG will get you there before you know it.
 
The painful part is over Kmutt, now you can have sleepless nights just thinking about it. lol Just kidding. I was kept away from my 1st R3 for 18months . Dropped the wait in half for my 2nd identical R3 so your 2 weeks should be a breeze.
 
Congrats. I was fortunate to be able to pick mine up the day I signed and it was over 150 miles to ride home. That was late August and I still love riding this bike. You will too. Just watch the fuel gauge. It moves really fast.
 
Welcome to the community of big bikes, big butts (well not everybody) and the "I can't ride anything that small anymore" crowd. Even with two weeks to wait, you'll still be riding before I do.

I used Destiny Motorsports. They're located in Lakeland, NY just down the street from the NY State Fairgrounds. Approx 10mins outside of Syracuse NY. They have a website. they are a great dealership. Treated me very well and eager for business.
