209.099 at the 2024 May SCTA El Mirage dry lake land speed event.

8750rpm through the traps at about 1.59 bar intake pressure at peak rpm (8ish psi). Had a little jump over two ruts in the middle of the track at about 180 mph, or it would have been a touch higher... it was only wide open for the last few seconds of the run. This thing is a bullet train, and it's still going to get faster.

Congratulations, hate what the salt does to equipment.

Spaz what is that rear you run? Do you shave them tires to be allowed to go for the 200 mark? Are you running mr12 or u4.4? Just so cool what youve done im like a kid wanting to know whats that do, how bout this, hows that work, 😎. But ill stick with just the above questions for now 😂 but really i wont be able to concentrate on anything else unti i know those 3 things😂😂😂😂 love it just absolutely love it. The kid at our event on a zx10 that went 200 finally, his emotions were felt and cheered with all us as he came to get his 200mph shirt😬 i was so happy for him and at the same time i was thinking i cant wait to get there, and learned from many other racers that weekend that the 200mph is the goal of many that haven’t made it yet after a long time trying, i just started but the fire you and justdad have lit in me is something im not letting go of, my dream of seeing when things change, when all things start to want to fly, that 200mph club. Or bust! No Airbags we die like real men

209? Jfc that's insane to pull off on a lake too! Imagine how fast you could actually get it if you had a body on it and were able to top it out! At that speed the air resistance is so intense.
It's pretty close to topped out there, unless I give it more rpm... 9500 rpm is a lot of piston speed. The plan is to change the gearing, build a body, and go 250+ on the salt.

The previous minimum/record was under 200mph, so I was running a Q3 Dunlop. When I go back in Nov I'll have to run a pirelli slick.

Edit: haha, just saw your edit. To clarify, if the minimum or record for the class is under 200, they let you run a Z rated tire. Now that I've set that over 200 at El Mirage, I'll have to run a "race" tire in that class if I want to be teched for over 200. Race tire pretty much means a slick. I'll buy an off the shelf SC3 Pirelli before i try to carve up a street tire. At boneville all 4 classes are still under 200, so ill finish of this tire there. This is the scta rule book.... the AMA/FIM has a slightly different approach. :)

Gas is c16...we run it in everything, even if we run fuel class. It is probably the highest octane, non-oxygenated gas out there. Terrible choice for anything other than hot running turbo motors, or obscene amounts of nitrous.

I've never tried the dry lake but I know the course is a bit shorter than Bonneville. Very impressive speed, that is ride I think would be a great experience. 👍👍
El Mirage is shorter (1.3 mile) but it is more of a trap speed event, and you only have to do one pass to set records. It is a good test n tune for bonneville, and run under the same rule book/people that do speed week. I'd highly recommend it if you need to do testing for speed week. They run once a month from May to Nov, aside from August.
