Well I had posted about an exhaust leak where the header meets the cat. bypass. Since I really didn't want to tear the whole system apart, I figured I'de just try to tighten the clamp. The existing clamp was bottomed out and still leaking so I went to try and find a slightly smaller one at a muffler shop and 3 auto part stores without luck. I got thinking, which is usually dangerous, and decided to try wrapping some metal plumbers tape, you know the kind with all the holes in it, around the joint. Put 3 wraps of the tape and the old clamp on it, torqued it down real good and waalaa, leak is fixed and cost me zero. For now anyway. Decel popping is a whole lot less now too!

That's great. I've got the same problem. Thanks. I should have thought of that too, to many brain farts I guess My dad was a plumbers tape and bailing wire man from way back.
