Engine color?

Hello all, I'm not a Rocket owner yet but I plan to be very soon and I have a question for you. I'm looking at an 07 that has all the bits of a Classic, floorboards, bags, seat etc. but it has the silver engine. Does anyone know when or why the engine changed colors and did they produce both at the same time? Trying to figure out if it's really a Classic or just a standard with ad-ons. It's the Blue and white color combo which I thought was a Classic color. Can't wait to joing the Rocket owners of the world, thanks for any info. Mark Olson

PS Anyone want a slightly used 07 Vulcan Nomad??? Or a BMW K1100RS??

Your most likely looking at a 2007 Classic Tourer. For one of the nicer examples do a search in scowherd 's pics.

Are the gauges solid black or are they black and silver ?

I believe the gauges are all black. Every ad from Triumph I've seen from 06 on the bikes all have the black engine. So, just wondering, prefer the black.

G'day and welcome from Downunder. Pretty sure Lester's right (well, he usually is any way); my recollection is that the '07s had black engines except for the Classic Tourer.

are u sure its an 07 or was it just first registered in 07 ive never seen a silver motor in an 07

2006 onwards is black motor from what i have seen and from what it says on wickipedia

Like Lester said, most '07 Classic Tourers and some '07 Classics had the last of the silver motors. The silver motors are faster anyways..
