Yes your right, this Triumph dealer definitely got the hump. The TFC is out of warranty anyway so don't know or understand what his problem is. How do I find out that I have the latest version for my TFC? I'm sure though I have the latest software version. Silly question next, do you know Alan's email address so I can directly chase, politely ask? Lastly, you guys doing videos on YouTube are a great help. It's far far better to have a visual procedure than written procedures. I have to say though, surely I'm not the only TFC owner who has had this problem? I mean, for me to use TuneECU to remap my bike without a visual solution within the software to the crankshaft position adaption problem is strange, I can't be the only one surely?
If there’s anyone with a TFC and Tuneecu who has seen your posts, would he be so kind as to connect to the ECU and see if the CPS shows up in the adjustments? As for the map, 31024 in the App Library is version 2. If there was an update that Tuneecu doesn’t have, the only way to get it is to have a Triumph dealer load it. Tell them you want the ecu updated and this fault fixed. My understanding is that if there is an update from what you have in the ecu, it will be loaded automatically. As soon as your bike is connected to the dealer tool. Before doing that, connect to the ecu. It should tell you what map and version is in the ecu and also the counter for the number of times maps were written to the ecu. Then after you bring it to Triumph, connect to the ecu, see the map version and whether the write counter has incremented. Meanwhile, since the bike is running fine, stop worrying about this.
Alas, great news, Mr Alain Fontaine has rectified this issue. He has issued an update for the latest software v6.1.27 which incorporates the "Crankshaft Position adaption" in the Adjustments screen. Top man, swift response.
I would also like to thank ALL of the R3 members who have participated in this, to every single one of you, I greatly appreciate all that you have said & done in trying to help me resolve this matter.

Good to hear from you. Well the short answer I believe is, the R & GT model require this process hence its written into TuneECU software. The TFC model doesn't require this process but ALL videos out there using TuneECU are of R & GT models. There are no TFC videos of TuneECU software being used on them. I guess it's probably because there's only 750 TFCs worldwide. One assumes watching these videos that they are the same for TFC models. Well lesson learned when it comes to ECUs they're not. However, the new Triumph rocket 3 storm I understand is basically a TFC without the TFC badge. Basically, the TuneECU app now covers idiots like me who make this mistake.
